I discovered my love for mixed media and how I couldn't understand how someone could create a $1400 canvas from nothing but our ridged and ripped cardboard boxes, empty Fanta cans and leftover tin foil. I wish I had that ability, to create a wonderful piece of abstraction that only the art savvy will understand.
I also can't wait until the day I can buy one of those beautiful canvases and pretend it's justlike buying a new hat (although that may be an insult to a hard working artist).
Unfortunately, I did not have the opportunity to dine at one of the trendy restaurants nearby [e.g. Soul de Cuba, Du Vin, etc.] because 1. it was crowded - EVERY seat was taken and 2. my adventure buddy and I couldn't afford the high prices. One day, when I'm wrinkled and sagged, I will become a regular downtown, admire the art, sip the wine and order manchego cheese.
