i've just come back home from my trip to guam.
here are some pictures i took at the chamorro festival at the agana park. it was fun eating all the chamorro food again. red rice, bbq chicken and koko. mmmm...i still miss the food! it's so good when you haven't had it in such a long time!
so after i was done inhaling my seven dollar chamorro "fiesta" plate, i decided it was time to do my rounds and see what else this place had to offer. [although i was born in Guam, i'd never lived there so i still kind of felt like a tourist]
i wasn't surprised they sold pugua, also known as betel nut, but it amazed me how cheap they sold it! the chamorro kids in honolulu pay about twice as much for half the amount they sell in Guam. for the mainland chamorro kids, that whole bag of pugua, would be considered GOLD.

i felt "touristy." so instead of buying a coke or water to quench my thirst, i sipped coconut juice straight from the husk. it didn't taste as good as the ones i've tried in saipan but it was still refreshing! [Guam's weather is typically unbearably humid btw]
