today's not looking so bright. the view from my office is dull and gloomy. the only highlight of my morning was buying my ticket for the Aloha Music Fest.i'm particularly excited because of the concert's headliners: Goapele and Erykah Badu. i'm a big fan of their music, witty lyrics and bohemian style. i really can't wait until their performance tomorrow - just to get a taste of how they relate to their audience, rift and improvise would give their tracks on my iTouch a little more life and emotion.
i guess that's how everyone is when it comes to some of their favorite artists. we tend to become a little starstruck because we can't believe that we're in the presence of someone who graces our mp3 players and makes his or her way into touching our lifes through simple amusement, inspiration or affecting an atmosphere. music is such a powerful thing - it moves us, it's something that conjures up deep emotions and provokes us to act or feel a certain way.
anyway, these women make music that makes you feel like a woman - while Goapele's music is more spiritual and Erykah's comes off as funny and blunt, both women have the power to make you feel like a woman with power - the power to love and feel.
