Erykah Badu & Goapele

i have a newfound respect for neo soul artist and human rights activist Erykah Badu. she evokes passion for human rights through her music - she spoke about occupational issues around the world and how a documentary inspired her to write songs. music is power. i truly believe that after seeing her in person.

as for Goapele, another neo-soul artist, she came on past 10 p.m. i was afraid i'd die of heatstroke - that's how hot it was, the humidity + body heat, it felt like going to a sauna in Saipan. i only heard her sing the first song "First Love" - she was like a beauty queen - graceful, poised and glowing.

another cool moment was when i caught up with Metromix's Tracy Chan. She snapped this photo of my friend and I. Mahalos!
